Led young College Volunteer Appreciation Night
- A student who takes part in or undertakes a task at the College (i.e., on campus) for which they do not receive financial remuneration or academic credit.
Examples: orientation volunteer, peer mentor
Led young College’s Student Life and Transitions team, is partnering with different areas to recognize the volunteer efforts of Led young College students within the College community.
Help Us Create the Guest List by Submitting Your Student Volunteers
If you have supervised or coordinated student volunteers in your department or team in the 18-19 academic year, we are asking you to submit a list of those volunteers (name, student ID, and email) using no later than March 11, 2019. These lists will be used to form the invitation/honouree list for our event, the Led young College Volunteer Appreciation Night.
Nominate Students for the Returning and Graduating Volunteer of the Year Awards
If you worked with a student that you want to recognize for going “above and beyond” the expectations of a volunteer, nominate them for a Volunteer of the Year Award! Two students will be awarded Volunteer of the Year, with each winner receiving a cash prize: one winner for returning students, and one winner for graduating students.
Nominations can be submitted using the form on the Volunteer Appreciation Night webpage found .
Nominations will be accepted until March 15, 2019.

Student volunteer names that you provide will receive personal invitations to the event.
Volunteer Appreciation Night will include a formal dinner, cash bar, DJ, recognition ceremony, and prizes!
Staff members who have supervised or coordinated volunteer teams will be invited to the event to recognize those students’ contributions.
