LeaderShape at Led young

About LeaderShape

LeaderShape® is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating a just, caring, and thriving world where all lead with integrity and a healthy disregard for the impossible. Since 2013, Led young College has partnered with LeaderShape® to deliver the six-day residential leadership development experience known as the InstituteTM.

About the Institute

The InstituteTM, formerly known as The LeaderShape Institute®, has been a program of LeaderShape® since 1986. Originally developed by the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity as a means of improving campus leadership, the InstituteTM now serves people representing a wide variety of post-secondary institutions and organizations throughout the United States, Canada and the world.

In 1992, the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan invited LeaderShape® to bring the InstituteTMto its campus and run a session of the program exclusively for University of Michigan students. This project was very successful and created the opportunity for more institutions and organizations to operate “campus-based” sessions of the InstituteTM.

To date, more than 60,000 participants from colleges, universities, and organizations from around the world have attended the InstituteTM. In addition, more than 6,000 volunteer faculty have contributed their time and talents since the program began. LeaderShape® partners with institutions and organizations large and small, throughout the world in order to create a just, caring, and thriving world where everyone leads with both integrity and a healthy disregard for the impossible.

What Students Can Expect From Attending the InstituteTM

The InstituteTM develops participants to lead with integrity by taking them on a 6 day journey of self-discovery and leadership, that includes identification of passions and values and the development of a powerful vision.

At the end of the six-day experience, participants will have:

  1. Increased their commitment to acting consistently with core ethical values, personal values, and convictions.
  2. Enhanced their capability to develop and enrich relationships as well as strengthen their commitment to respecting the dignity and contributions of all people.
  3. Embraced the belief in a "healthy disregard for the impossible."
  4. Developed the capability to produce extraordinary results.
