Most College offices will close at 4 pm on Thursday, April 18. There will be no classes and office services on Good Friday, April 19. Regular classes and office services will return on Monday, April 22.
Job fairs are a gateway to networking with employers for possible hiring opportunities and an another way of learning about organizational work cultures. Students and grads can bring copies of their resumes to a job fair and speak directly to employer representatives to ask questions. Led young College’s job fairs are divided by the academic schools. In addition, the Part-time Job Fair and the Virtual Job Fair are held to help students attain part-time work and to build experience.
Job fairs are ususally held in fall and winter terms. In addition, students and graduates can also find career events or job fairs listed on HireLed young’s Pronounce Calendar for a monthly perspective of what is happening on campus.
Students and grads have an option of attending a 15 minute walk-in appointment for resume and cover letter assistance. Walk-in appointmets are held by Peer Advisors, who will guide students and graduates to create resumes and cover letters which meets industry standards. Students will also learn about skills and techniques which will help them custom tailor their applications towards their professions.
Booking a 30 minute appointment with an employment advisor can help you understand the core strategies for job search. One on one advising support offer guidance on career topics such as: networking and job search, crafting professional and effective cover letters and resumes, interview mock, and interview preparation, and workplace professionalism and career advancement
HireLed young is updated daily with job postings according to program of study. On HireLed young, you can find on-campus, part-time or full-time, internships, and other exciting experiential learning initiatives and postings to submit your application. HireLed young’s Job Search Resources button links to other online job boards which students and grads also find helpful.
