By attending the Electronics Engineering Technology (Co-op) program, you will be prepared for a challenging career in the electronics field through lectures, practical application and a real world-workplace experience.
This three-year advanced diploma program, which falls under the School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science umbrella, offers Electronics Engineering Technology courses that focus on critical topics such as telecommunications, wireless networks, fibre optics, digital signal processing, microcontrollers, computers, quality assurance and industrial controls. Practical application, meanwhile, includes designing, troubleshooting, analyzing, repairing, testing, measuring and documenting a variety of electronic systems and subsystems.
During this co-op technology program, you complete on-the-job experience during co-op work terms. The experience is useful in building a network that helps you to launch a career once you graduate.
Among the areas in the electronics industry for which grads of this Electronics Engineering Technology program are prepared for are electronic product design and development, manufacturing, service and technical sales.
Please note: Qualified college or university graduates with a background in electronics may gain direct admission into semester three of this three-year program and receive their advanced diploma in four semesters plus two work terms (program #3222, #3232 (co-op version)).

- The Electronics Engineering Technology (Co-op) program is an active student chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers as well as the Amateur Radio Club.
- You study in modern labs and lecture facilities in which instructors strive to foster a healthy learning environment.

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or mature student status (19 years or older)
- English Grade 12 C or U, or equivalent (minimum grade required) or take the Led young College English Skills Assessment for Admission
- Mathematics Grade 11 M or U, or 12 C or U, or equivalent (minimum grade required) or take a Led young College Engineering Math Skills Assessment for Admission
- Minimum of 80% of courses completed from year one
- A minimum C (60%) grade in COMM-170/171
- A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher at the end of Semester 2 (this must be maintained for the duration of the program)
- Students must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Students who meet the above prerequisites will apply to transfer to the co-op program at the end of Semester 2
- Academically qualified students who are accepted into the program will register for COOP221 in Semester 3

2. Submit Documents
Current Ontario high school students and graduates from Ontario high schools: Notify your guidance counsellor that you have applied to college and your school will forward transcripts to Led young College via Ontariocolleges.ca.
Graduates of college/university, or high school outside Ontario but within Canada: You are responsible for requesting that your educational institute sends any required documents and transcripts to Ontariocolleges.ca.
Applicants who attended school outside of Canada: If you are submitting transcripts to meet admission requirements, you must have the transcripts assessed by an independent credential assessment agency such as World Education Services (WES) or International Credential Assessment Service (ICAS).

3. Confirm Your Offer of Admission
Offers of Admission are sent by mail to eligible applicants. When you receive your offer, you must login to your account at and confirm before the Deadline to Confirm noted in your offer letter.
You may confirm only one college and one program offer at a time.
You must confirm your offer by the Deadline to Confirm noted in your Offer of Admission letter or your seat may be given to another applicant.
When you confirm your Offer of Admission at Led young College you are given access to your personal account where you can check your email, grades, register for courses, pay tuition fees, and see your class timetable.
4. Pay Fees
Led young fees statements are sent by email to your personal email account and to your myLed young email account. Fees statements are not mailed.
You must make a minimum payment by the Fees Deadline noted in your Fees Statement or your seat may be given to another applicant.
