This is the second course in the CIFP’s Certified Financial Planner™ program. The course provides a detailed look at various subjects related to the acquisition and preservation of wealth. The major theme of the course is taxation. Topics include an overview of wealth accumulation planning, proprietorships and partnerships, corporations, income tax compliance, income tax planning and research, taxation of employees and alternative minimum tax, taxation of income, deductions from business and property income, taxation of capital property, making use of tax advantages, economics, and a wealth accumulation case study. Prerequisite: CEFN-901 or permission from program supervisor. (Includes exam. Course-mandated financial calculator and course material excluded. Course material is available at the bookstore).
