Description:

Providing assistance with personal care, giving care to individuals who require help meeting his/her daily needs, contributing positively to the environment, and demonstrating healthy personal habits in the workplace are among the many responsibilities of the Developmental Services Worker (DSW). The problem solving process is applied to case profiles to develop creative problem solving, critical thinking and personal time management skills. Experiential laboratory learning opportunities are used to develop skills in assessing vital signs, hygiene care, changing simple dressings, controlling infectious diseases, thermal applications, body mechanics, and lifting and transporting individuals. Course Length: 45 hours: 3 hours per week for 15 weeks. Minimum grade requirement :C
