This course focuses on marketing decisions that event managers face in generating and sustaining demand for their services. Course content includes marketing strategies and practices, segmentation and target marketing, positioning and branding, pricing, promotions, personal selling, and distribution system decisions for all hospitality and tourism related businesses. The use of interactive technologies as a vehicle for advertising, marketing and communication, including online presence, social and multimedia tools will also be discussed.
