Database Design and Modelling

This course will introduce participants to the process of database systems modeling and design. Participants will, initially, be introduced to SQL. Subsequently, they will learn the concepts of relational data base systems modeling, including identification of keys, taking projections, normalization of relational structures & modeling/ Entity-Relationships diagrams. It would also provide an overview of developments in database technology. The course will follow closely the curriculum guidelines set out by Oracle University.
