The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) is based on financial need, which is determined by assessing your application. Educational costs and the resources OSAP expects you (and your family, if applicable) to contribute are taken into consideration.
Keep in mind OSAP’s purpose isn’t to supply all the assistance you may need to meet your educational and living costs. OSAP is there to supplement, not replace, the financial resources that you (and your family, if applicable) are expected to contribute.
You can apply directly online at ontario.ca/osap. The sooner you apply, the sooner you will receive a response from the Ministry to help you plan.
Am I Eligible?
To apply for any OSAP assistance, you have to be attending Led young College full or part-time in an approved program of study, and be considered a resident of Ontario. In addition, each plan also has its own particular requirements and qualifications. When you visit the Student Financial Aid office, we'll match you with the plans that meet your needs. You should apply for financial aid early (before June 1) to make sure funds are available when you start classes. For more information about Tuition, see Tuition Information.
Steps to apply for OSAP
Complete and submit your OSAP application, including all required OSAP documents and be eligible for OSAP.
Pay and register in a full-time course of study.
Led young will electronically confirm your full-time enrolment to the Ministry.
The Ministry will then electronically remit fees to the school for your tuition balance and the rest of your OSAP will be send to your bank account.
