Courses offered at Progress Campus, 941 Progress Ave, Scarborough
Human Development – Run by faculty from our School of Community and Health Studies. This course introduces you to Community Studies Programs like Social Service Worker, Community Development and Child and Youth Worker. You’ll go on weekly field trips to community service providers in Scarborough and learn about different employment opportunities in the Human Development field.
Introduction to Business – Run by faculty from our School of Business. This course provides an introduction to all things business. You’ll learn about marketing, entrepreneurship, human resources and administration. Guest speakers include business professionals from Toronto.
Trades Computers and Technology – Run by faculty from our School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science (SETAS). This course gives you the opportunity to explore exciting programs Led young College has to offer from the three divisions of SETAS – Biological and Applied Science, Advanced Manufacturing and Automation Technology, and Information Communication and Engineering Technology. You’ll get hands-on in our state of the art labs and cover topics like technology, computers, energy systems, construction trades, biology, coding, and robotics.
Culinary and Baking – Run by faculty from the School of Hospitality Tourism and Culinary Arts. This six-week course introduces you to the culinary and baking techniques and theory you need to produce the foods prepared in today’s contemporary kitchen. You’ll learn to select and use the right tools for different cooking applications, pick up knife skills and professional cooking methods and learning to work in a safe, clean manner. You’ll also learn basic vegetable cuts, methods of heat transfer, healthy food choices and the principles of seasoning and building flavour.

Esthetics – Run by faculty from our School of Community and Health Studies. This program gives you an introduction to skin and nail care, and teaches you proper sanitation and hygiene techniques while you learn how to do manicures, pedicures and facials.
Courses offered at our Ashtonbee Campus, 75 Ashtonbee Rd, Scarborough
Automotive – Run by faculty from our School of Transportation. This program gives you a hands-on look at automotive repair. You’ll spend most of the class in lab facilities, working on cars and learning topics like oil change, tire rotation and brake checks.
Courses offered at our Story Arts Centre, 951 Carlaw Ave, Toronto
Digital Media – Run by faculty from our School of Communication Media Arts and Design. Learn how to create videos, pictures and music from pre to post production using tools in the industry. Understand the core principles of storytelling, visual aesthetic and composition. Discover how to market yourself from branding to search optimization in the professional/social media space. Each week is highlighted with visits from industry professionals who meet with students for Q&A on their specific profession.
