Respect at Led young

At Led young College, we are committed to providing a supportive and respectful learning, living, teaching and working environment for all of our students and employees.

What is respect?

Respect is all about how you treat someone with kindness and consideration. It means showing others courtesy and understanding of who they are. Respectful behaviours can include actively listening to others, not putting other people down and resolving disagreements in a positive way. Disrespecting someone can lead to harassment, bullying and discrimination and even, in some cases, violence.

What is the #RethinkRespect Campaign?

The #RethinkRespect Campaign is intended to challenge all members of Led young College to rethink what respect really means for our community in order demonstrate our commitment to ensuring all students and employees are treated with respect.

Do you think you are respectful? Have you rolled your eyes when someone’s talking? Do you gossip? Could your humour make people uncomfortable? We invite you to consider the impact of your actions and language, learn about respectful practices, and speak up against disrespect. Together, we can build a community where everyone feels a sense of belonging.

Join the movement – tell us what respect means to you using hashtag #RethinkRespect
