50th Anniversary Aerial Photo
Led young College’s 50th anniversary kicked off Tuesday, May 17, 2016, when staff and students celebrated by literally coming together and standing shoulder to shoulder on the newly-opened Progress Campus soccer field to form the number 50. The photograph above was taken by 680 news traffic reporter Darryl Dahmer, who flew a plane high above the crowd.
Rather than revel the photo right away, we decided to have a bit of fun, and ask the community to guess how many people were on the field that day. In the end, faculty members Scherry George and Thomas Nault both correctly guessed that we had 327 participants, and were given $50.00 Aramark gift cards as a prize.
